Accessibility Statement
Effective date:
We want everyone to be able to use PDFLean, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the core journeys: registration, checkout, and the main tool workflows.
1. Our commitment
PDFLean is committed to making its website and tools accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. Accessibility is a legal requirement in several markets we serve, including the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the ADA in the United States.
2. Standards & scope
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA (harmonised as EN 301 549 in the EU) for the site itself and for the primary user journeys: account registration and login, subscription checkout, and the core PDF tool interface. Some legacy or experimental tools may not yet be fully conformant; we prioritise remediation by usage and impact.
3. Measures we take
- Semantic HTML, landmark regions, and a consistent heading order.
- Keyboard-operable controls with visible focus, including the checkout flow.
- Colour contrast and non-colour-dependent meaning for status and errors.
- Labels and instructions for form fields; live regions for async status.
- Periodic self-assessment and remediation of reported barriers.
4. Feedback & enforcement
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us at support@pdflean.com with the page URL and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within five business days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the relevant national enforcement body in your jurisdiction.
