What is it?Auto Remove Blank PDF Pages is a PDFLean page organization tool: Automatically detect and remove blank pages from scanned PDFs (duplex ADF scans).

About this tool

No accounts, no uploads, no watermarks — just the operation you came for. Automatically detect and remove blank pages from scanned PDFs (duplex ADF scans). Intelligent noise tolerance, thumbnail verification, and Private by design. Processing runs locally in your browser's memory — the document is never transmitted, and closing the tab clears it completely. The workflow is deliberately short: load the file, choose the options on the page, run the operation, and save the result. Every choice is applied before the file is written, so re-running with different settings takes seconds. Practical limits apply (see the on-page limits); it pairs well with the related tools linked beside this page when one step is not the whole job. Key facts — Processing: runs entirely in your browser, client-side; Access: free with no account required; File limits: see the on-page limits; Privacy: the file never leaves the device.

How to use

1

Select or drop your scanned PDF document into the workspace

FAQ

Will paper bleed-through or scanner dust prevent blank detection?

No! The detection applies a 0.5% non-white pixel tolerance and automatically masks out binding holes and edge shadows within ~4% page margins. If thin paper causes heavy bleed-through, switch the sensitivity to 'Aggressive' mode.

Does removing blank pages recompress or degrade the remaining pages?

Zero quality loss. The tool performs clean, lossless page stream transfers, preserving original vector graphics, crisp text layers, and embedded images intact.

Can I review detected blank pages before confirming deletion?

Yes. Visual thumbnail previews highlight all detected blank pages so you can uncheck and preserve any page before final export.

Can I adjust the blank detection sensitivity threshold?

Three sensitivity levels: Conservative (pure white only), Standard (ignores binding holes/bleed-through), and Aggressive (tolerates scanner dust and heavier noise).

Does stripping blank pages alter the page sizes or rotation of remaining pages?

Never. Kept pages retain their exact original dimensions, rotation angles, text layers, and annotations. Note that the output is a rebuilt document, so the original outline bookmark tree is not carried over.
