Basic reflow only: a replacement that is too wide is wrapped or shrunk to fit its original box; paragraphs are not reflowed. If text still overflows, shorten the replacement or accept the overflow — for deep edits use a desktop editor. Edited glyphs use an embedded compatible font and may differ slightly from the original.

About this tool

No accounts, no uploads, no watermarks — just the operation you came for. Visually edit text inside a PDF in your browser — click any text layer run to change it, with basic reflow (wrap/shrink to the original box), plus classic find & replace. Fully local. Processing runs locally in your browser's memory — the document is never transmitted, and closing the tab clears it completely. The workflow is deliberately short: load the file, choose the options on the page, run the operation, and save the result. Every choice is applied before the file is written, so re-running with different settings takes seconds. Practical limits apply (see the on-page limits), and it pairs well with the related tools linked beside this page when one step is not the whole job. Key facts — Processing: runs entirely in your browser, client-side; Access: free with no account required; File limits: see the on-page limits; Privacy: the file never leaves the device.

FAQ

Will my file be uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser — your file is never uploaded and is cleared upon closing the page.

Are there any limits?

Beta limit: only basic in-box reflow (wrapping/scaling down to a 60% font size lower limit) is supported, without paragraph-level reflow; only PDFs with a text layer are supported (use OCR first for scanned documents).

Will my original file be modified?

No. Edits happen on the page canvas and saving produces a new file — the original stays untouched.

Can I process multiple files in bulk?

A single tool page handles one task at a time; for bulk work use the Batch Processing workflow and add this tool as a step to run a whole set at once.

Is the processed file still editable?

The output is a newly generated PDF; the original stays intact and you can make further edits in this tool or with other tools.
