Each sheet carries 2 × 1 = 2 pages. Drop a file to see the sheet count.

Preview with the real first page placed into the layout (schematic) — the final output follows the prepress settings above (creep, bleed, crop marks).

Imposition done in-browser, files never uploaded; paper thickness compensates for inner pages bulging out after folding (creep).

What is it?PDF Imposition (Poster / Cut / N-up / Booklet) is a PDFLean page organization tool: all four modes run on the browser's local imposition engine — suitable for pre-press layout before printing and binding.

TL;DR: All four modes — N-up, booklet, poster tiling and page splitting — process files locally in your browser without uploading, with creep compensation, bleed and crop marks.

About this tool

- All four modes (N-up, booklet, poster, cut) run fully client-side in your browser — zero upload. - Creep compensation (paper thickness) offsets the creep of inner pages protruding outward after folding; larger values increase compensation.

How to use

1

Choose an imposition mode: N-up, booklet, poster tiling, or page splitting

2

Configure grid rows/columns (N-up), paper thickness (creep compensation), bleed, crop marks, and fold lines, and check the layout preview

3

Upload your PDF; all four modes are imposed locally in your browser

4

The output downloads automatically once complete; reviewing the layout in a PDF reader is recommended

FAQ

Will my file be uploaded, and is it safe?

No. All four imposition modes (N-up, booklet, poster, cut) are produced by the browser's local engine — your file never leaves your device.

What is the paper thickness setting used for?

Paper thickness controls creep compensation and applies to both folding modes (N-up and booklet). When folded, inner pages protrude outward relative to outer pages; increasing paper thickness offsets this creep, with larger values providing greater compensation.

Which features are available without a server?

All four modes are powered by the browser's local engine and remain fully available without any server (loading the page itself requires a network connection).

Can I process multiple files in bulk?

A single tool page handles one task at a time; for bulk work use the Batch Processing workflow and add this tool as a step to run a whole set at once.

Is the processed file still editable?

The output is a reorganized new standard PDF; your original file remains untouched and the generated document can be opened and reprocessed in any standard reader.
